Meet the White Nevrons: Not Every Enemy Is Hostile
In Expedition 33, not every encounter has to end in battle. Among the many surprises in the game, the White Nevrons stand out. These unusual characters—nine in total—aren’t aggressive. In fact, they want your help, not your sword.
By completing unique tasks for each of them and choosing not to engage in combat, you’ll unlock powerful gear, rare pictos, and even some game-changing rewards. This guide will walk you through where to find each White Nevron, how to help them, and what goodies they’ll give you in return.
Let’s get into it.
1. Spring Meadows – Light the Jar’s Lantern
The first White Nevron you'll meet is in Spring Meadows, right after you pass the abandoned expedition camp. Look for a white neon figure who seems to have lost his glow—literally.
Here’s What to Do:
-
Sneak through the area, avoiding patrols.
-
Under the bridge, grab the resin item on the right.
-
Give it to the Nevron (he’ll thank you).
-
Read carefully—there’s a final step: aim manually and shoot the top of his lamp post to light it.
-
Return to him to receive your Healing Tint Shard, great for an early health boost.
2. Flying Waters – The Lonely Mine Seeker
Next up, head to Flying Waters and start from the NOO’s hut expedition flag. You’re looking for a floating, downcast Nevron named Demenor, upset about a lost explosive mine (yes, a mine).
What You Need to Do:
-
Go right of the massive anchor and into a cave.
-
Talk to Demenor but don’t fight.
-
Cross the graveyard of mines and pick up the intact mine.
-
Return it to Demenor and earn a powerful Lun Demon lightning weapon, which holds up even in the late game.
3. Stonewave Cliffs – Helping a Shiny-Obsessed Hexka
From either the Old Farm or Tide Caverns flag, make your way toward the submerged Hexka Nevron who’s spiraling because other Hexkas look cooler.
Here’s the Fix:
-
In the cave, destroy shiny rocks to get two crystals.
-
The third crystal drops after you defeat a Rocher enemy near a glowing crystal.
-
Return all three to the Hexka to get the Auto Shell Picto, which gives your party defense buffs at the start of combat.
4. Burg Side – Grow the Tiny Burgon
This Nevron wants to be big like its kin. After finishing Flying Waters, explore the Burg Side Zone and talk to the small Burgon.
What to Do:
-
Defeat a full-sized Burgon (near Stonewave Cliffs).
-
Collect Burgon Skin and feed it to the Nevron.
-
Leave and re-enter the area to see its transformed form.
-
Talk again to get a Color of Luminina—not amazing, but still worth it for completion.
5. The Redwoods – A Talking Fountain with Expensive Tastes
Far west of the Ancient Sanctuary, you'll find a tiny zone packed with red trees known as The Redwoods. Inside is a strange, talking fountain tied to one of the White Nevrons.
What You’ll Do:
-
Drop 5,000 Chroma, then 10,000, then 25,000, and finally 50,000 into the fountain.
-
After donating a whopping 90,000 Chroma, a Benur appears and rewards you with the Picto Recovery.
-
This item heals 10% of HP at the start of a turn and boosts health and defense when converted to an Aluminina.
It’s pricey, but easily one of the best passive heals early on.
6. Stone Quarry – The Trouidor’s Rhythm Game
Once you’ve cleared the Forgotten Battlefield, explore the Stone Quarry, where a White Trouidor Nevron waits for someone to reignite its musical soul.
The Trick Here:
-
Interact and start a mini-game-like combat sequence.
-
Dodge orange orbs, catch green ones to heal.
-
Complete the pattern correctly and get the Healing Parry Picto.
-
This regenerates 3% HP when parrying, and offers added defense as a Picto or Aluminina.
Super useful if you love a counter-heavy playstyle.
7. Esoteric Ruins – Solve a Light Puzzle
West of Old Lumiere, before finishing your main questline, head to the Esoteric Ruins. You’ll meet a mysterious floating orb that’s actually a White Nevron in disguise.
Puzzle Time:
-
Reach the 3x3 orb-and-pillar puzzle room.
-
Interact by shooting specific glowing orbs to toggle light barriers.
-
Once solved, collect wooden boards and bring them back to the spirit.
Doing this reveals the Nevron’s true form, the Portier, and you’ll get the Protecting Heal Picto—a hybrid buff that grants Shell on heal, and boosts health/speed when used as a Picto.
8. Floating Cemetery – A Warrior’s Final Wish
With flight unlocked via Esier, go west to the Floating Cemetery, where a Shalier Nevron awaits one final duel.
The Setup:
-
Choose one of three weapons—this changes the fight slightly.
-
Defeat the Nevron in battle, then choose to grant its final request to end its life.
-
Doing so rewards you with the Auto Powerful Picto, which starts battles with 3 turns of “Powerful”.
-
Equip as a physical Picto for a huge speed and crit buff.
It’s a high-risk, high-reward zone, but definitely worth it.
9. Frozen Hearts – A Perfect Dance for a Lun Exclusive Reward
At Level 60, make your way to Frozen Hearts, a vast optional area behind Manokco Station. This is where you’ll find Dus, the final White Nevron.
How to Win:
-
Head from Icebound Train Station, through a cave, then up to a long path and drop into a clearing.
-
Interact with Dus and accept the challenge: parry 15 consecutive attacks without missing.
-
Pull this off and you’ll unlock a Lun-exclusive outfit.
-
You can challenge Dus again for a final dance, but don’t kill her—you need her alive to finish the quest chain.
This is easily one of the more intense but rewarding moments in the entire White Nevron storyline.
Final Reward – Meet Flanch at the Hidden Fountain
After helping all nine White Nevrons and sparing them during your encounters, you’re eligible for a huge endgame bonus.
How to Claim It:
-
With flying unlocked, go to the hidden fountain zone near the start of the game.
-
Inside, speak with Flanch, a lone Nevron who knows what you’ve done.
-
If you spared them all and finished their quests, you’ll get a mind-blowing reward: 100 Color of Luminina.
This isn’t just for show—100 Color of Luminina allows you to craft top-tier builds, perfect for endgame content.
Conclusion: Why White Nevrons Are Worth It
Helping the White Nevrons is easily one of the best long-term investments in Expedition 33. You skip fights, solve creative puzzles, and earn rewards that scale amazingly into the late game.
Whether it's the Auto Powerful Picto, the Lun-exclusive outfit, or the jaw-dropping 100 Luminina, there’s something here for every playstyle.
So skip the sword—sometimes kindness really does pay.
